The Detroit Pistons have made a roster transfer, formally signing Wendell Moore Jr. to a two-way contract and waiving Colby Jones.
In response to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Detroit opened up the mandatory roster spot by releasing Jones, who had been on a two-way deal since late July.
For Moore, this marks one other likelihood to re-establish himself within the NBA after being waived by the Boston Celtics throughout coaching camp.
Moore is a well-known face to the Pistons’ group, having spent a part of final season with Detroit earlier than being moved on the commerce deadline.
The previous Duke standout, chosen within the first spherical of the 2022 draft, performed two seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier than becoming a member of the Pistons in an offseason commerce.
After his launch in February, he signed a two-way take care of the Charlotte Hornets, ending the season there earlier than Boston picked him up for coaching camp.
